JULY 30, 2025

 YOUTH CAREER FAIR

It truly takes a Village to raise our youth — and what a blessing it is to be part of that Village. Every moment we spend sowing into the next generation is a seed planted for a stronger, brighter future. Let’s continue to pay it forward, pour into young minds, and empower them to become the bold leaders, changemakers, and visionaries our world needs.

JULY 27, 2025

We kicked things off with an energizing Look Forward Youth Choir rehearsal, followed by a powerful Career Exploration Fair for our Look Forward Village Academy youth.

We wrapped up the weekend with fun and fellowship at Clementon Park & Splash World! 

These enrichment programs are designed to provide our youth with empowerment, education, and inspiration — the building blocks for a brighter future.

JULY 25, 2025

 Our Look Forward Village Academy Career Exploration Night was a huge success! 

Youth rotated through our Career Carousel, engaging with incredible professionals in 

four themed rooms:

1.  Leading with Purpose - Bryan Exum – Retired Command Master Chief, U.S. Navy
Deon Browning, Esq., LL.M – Attorney, Browning Legal Group, LLC 

Dr. Jocelyn Manigo – Director, Learning Assistance & Resource Center, WCU 

Latifah Bradley - Duckson – Associate Director, Bristol Myers Squibb

2. Tech Talk & Tomorrow’s Tools - Pastor Mike Kea – Director of  IT, Cannon 

Kayla Williams – Fashion Designer / Tech in Fashion, Harcum College

3. Creativity in Motion - Greg Irvin – Professional Photographer

 Calvin Mincey – Arts Coordinator, CCCS 

Nathan Jacobs II – Drummer / Music Production, Delaware State University

4. Healing & Helping Careers - TD Bank Representative – Spoke on financial wellness & community health banking.

JULY 18, 2025

 The Look Forward Village Academy session was nothing short of amazing 

The theme was “Mind. Body. & Grind.” and it truly came to life. 

A huge thank you to Anitra Green, Licensed Therapist, and Mike Coleman, former NFL player and Personal Trainer, for pouring into our youth in such a powerful way. They got moving—physically and mentally—and the energy was inspiring!

It’s a true blessing to see these young people locked in, growing, and showing up for themselves and each other. This is what community looks like.

Having an absolute blast with The Look Forward Village Academy & The Look Forward Youth Choir at Main Event We’re not just having fun — we’re building memories, strengthening bonds, and creating moments these young people will never forget.

JULY 10, 2025

The Look Forward Village Academy officially kicked off — and it was nothing short of amazing! These bright minds and future leaders showed up ready to grow, and they did not disappoint. Our mission is to provide teens with a village of empowerment—a space where they can develop the tools, confidence, and support to pursue their goals and thrive in every area of life.

In Week 1, students learned how to complete a SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats), and many shared how eye-opening it was. Several even said they plan to start using it in their everyday decision-making! Our instructor Ieasa Nichols did a phenomenal job. She really is gifted and knows how to connect with  people especially the youth. 

This is just the beginning… 5 more impactful weeks to go. Stay tuned — the journey has just begun!
